  • Fundraising for Malta Marathon 2014
    ASL Liam and VSL Mario, will this year be taking part in Malta Half Marathon on Sunday 23rd February. This 21k run, will start from Mdina and finish at the Sliema Ferries. As part of the run we have joined the MS Team, and will be helping with fundraising for the Multiple Sclerosis Society Malta. The society is rather small as far as charities go, but for the families whom it supports, it makes the world of a difference by heavily subsidising different forms of therapy, be it physiotherapy home visits or psychotherapy/counselling sessions. MS is not particularly widespread locally, and is very often invisible to the general public.

    You may support this cause by;

    1. Either setting a fixed amount for every kilometre we run (example €0.50/km)
    2. or by making a donation of the amount you desire
    Donations can be made via;
    1. Bank transfer HSBC Savings Account - The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Malta – 16196495050
    2. or giving your donation to either Liam or myself to pass on

  • Operation San Martin
    Following the great success of the previous editions of Operation San Martin, the Troop Section shall be once again organising this event on Sunday 17th November 2013.  This inter patrol challenge shall focus on a number of topics that form part of the Pathfinder, Explorer and Pioneer Modules of the Scout Programme, such as First Aid, Mapping, Navigation and Ropework.  Various surprise challenges will also be held along the route, putting their skills and patrol spirit to the test.  Like all other activities and competitions organised in the Troop Section, the points obtained in this activity will count towards the Patrol of the Year shield.
