Rovers Go Geocaching in Gozo

posted 7 Mar 2011, 03:25 by Stella Maris College Scout Group   [ updated 7 Mar 2011, 05:46 ]
During the Carnival weekend, the Stella Maris College Rover Crew went out looking for geocaches in Gozo.  The Crew found 7 geocaches during this weekend.

Geocaching is an outdoor sporting activity in which the participants use a GPS receiver or other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called geocaches, anywhere in the world. A typical cache is a small waterproof container containing a logbook where the geocacher enters the date they found it. Larger containers such as plastic storage containers or ammo boxes can also contain items for trading, usually toys or items of little value. Geocaching is often described as a game of high-tech hide and seek.  For more information visit http://www.geocaching.com/
