2009.10.11 - Crew - Paintball Shooting PDF Print E-mail

On Sunday 11th October, the Rover Crew decided to go on an outdoor activity – Paintball Shooting! We all met at SMC Head Quarters at 1530hrs as our match was scheduled to start at 1600hrs. Since we required two teams of eight players each, we decided to put in a Rover team and invited our friends to form the rival team.

When we arrived on site, the person in charge explained the safety precautions and all the rules of the game, whilst we geared up. Our team was made up of the following Rovers: Keith, Daniel, Mario, Joseph, Jack, Derrick, Andre and a work colleague.

The activity consisted of five games of fifteen minutes each, and the objective was to either eliminate all the opponents by hitting them once with a paintball, or to take the flag from their home base.

The match was very balanced as the first four games ended in a draw. Each team won two games, making the last game a decider. The last three seconds where crucial in deciding the winning team, as one of the Crew members was eliminated, handing the win to our rivals.

Although we lost, I can say that our team still had a blast in this activity because of all the action! One must, however, mention that compared to other activities this is quite expensive. However, the fun and action we experienced makes it worth the price!
